Mark Ferguson is an accomplished flamenco guitarist and assistant professor of Spanish at Pacific University of Oregon. Mark’s pursuit of flamenco took him to Spain where he studied under the tutelage of flamenco guitar masters. The mentorship training he received directly infused his knowledge and passion for the art of flamenco song and dance accompaniment. After he began his studies in flamenco guitar, his understanding of the importance of falsetas within the flamenco performance grew. Mark held a position of flamenco guitarist at the University of New Mexico and he toured with the second company of María Benítez. He was the music director for Solo Flamenco‘s Arts Academy, where he taught flamenco guitar and serves as the primary guitarist for El Cuadro Solo Flamenco.
Dr. Peter Joseph Zisa is an acclaimed performer on the six and eight-string classical guitar. His performance career, which started at age thirteen, has taken him across the U.S. and abroad. Zisa’s classical training includes his studies with such legendary performers as Maestro Andrés Segovia, José Rey de la Torre, José Tomas, Pepé and Angel Romero, Michael Lorimer, and Oscar Ghiglia.
