Dr. Peter Joseph Zisa is featured visiting artist on February 23 and 24th at Vanguard University, located in Santa Ana California, as part of the university-organized Guitar Festival. Zisa will open the festival performances Friday evening in Needham Hall. In addition to performing notable solo-classical-guitar pieces, Zisa will perform three major chamber works with virtuoso flutist Cindy Ellis: Mozart’s Flute Quartet K.285, Maximo Diego Pujol’s Suite Buenos Aires, and Gary Schocker’s modern work Travel Dreams. Dr. Zisa will also be present a workshop for high-school teachers of guitar Friday afternoon, as well as adjudicate the Saturday guitar performance event, and conduct a Saturday masterclass.
