Gracie Flowerday Accomplishments
January 2022 – First Prize Winner of Opus Music Competition, Classical Guitar Division, for the State of Oregon.
The four Judges commended Gracie’s performance as “poetic” and “very musical and expressive playing,” describing her work as “Excellent aptitude, delivery, and memory” and “One of the best guitar performances we’ve seen so far in the competition.”

April 2020 – Gracie Flowerday, age 13, was a semi-finalist in the Denver University Guitar Competition. Competition pieces: El Colibri Julio Segraeras, Ciaconna Bryan Johanson, Sonata by E.G. Baron.
Gracie Flowerday has been studying classical guitar with Dr. Zisa since 2016. Her repertoire includes works by Bach, Baron, Sor, Giuliani, Tarrega, Segraeras, Bryan Johanson, and Gerald Garcia. In the past year, she has entered and made the semi-finals at two guitar competitions, at Denver University Competition and Northwest International Guitar Competition. She finished fourth at Denver University; regrettably, the finals of Northwest Guitar Competition were canceled due to the corona-virus pandemic.
