Italian Renaissance Ensemble Lucidarium Presents MACCHINE The Science and Music from the Time of Leonardo Da Vinci

Lucidarium Ensemble traveling Italian Renaissance Ensemble will present MACCHINE The Science and Music from the Time of Leonardo Da Vinci – a musical commemoration of Da Vinci’s death 500 years ago. According to Isaacson’s book on the life of Da Vinci, Leonardo composed songs and played the lira da braccia, He also drew mechanical sketches of instrument designs (an organ, a viola organista). Lucidarium’s lively program includes an array of renaissance period instruments including the lute, musical relative of the guitar.
